Why is this adventure like no other?
This 6 night/ 7 day getaway will take place in the charming village of Tavira, located in the south east of the Algarve. We will be surrounded by winding cobblestone streets, a hilltop castle, stunning coastlines as well as the most important nature reserve in Southern Portugal, Ria Formosa Nature Park. We will enjoy an extended Summer relaxing seaside and poolside. We will hike the coastline as well as sail along the Atlantic Ocean allowing us to see this beautiful region from different perspectives. Our luxury getaway also includes a wine tasting and tapas walking tour of Tavira.
Destination: The Algarve Region of Portugal
Only 30 minutes to the Spain border, Tavira is one of the most eastern villages of the Algarve. Since this quaint village is a bit beyond many of the most visited attractions, Tavira tends to be a less-touristy, off the beaten path location. However, the winding cobblestone streets are filled with restaurants, bars and artisanal shops making it extremely lively, yet authentic. Located on the River Gilão and connected by a seven-arched Roman bridge where you can view a Moorish castle on the hilltop, it is easy to recognize that many cultures have chosen beautiful Tavira as their home over the centuries. Also, it is surrounded by the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, which provides protected waterways and secluded golden beaches allowing for relaxing and peaceful days. Take a short tuk tuk ride to the beach and/or ferry to find your own oasis.
We have booked an entire boutique hotel. So, we will have the fabulous Colegio Charmhouse all to ourselves!
Our breathtaking boutique hotel has 20 luxury rooms and suites and is fully-staffed.
Our home away from home is surrounded by beautifully lush Mediterranean gardens, has breathtaking locations for yoga and multiple pools and terraces with village and countryside views.
We will enjoy daily breakfast and our welcome and farewell dinners at Colegio where our private chef will use all organic, seasonal and local ingredients providing fresh and delicious meals. And yes, in-room massages can be arranged.
